Fiat has begun selling the new variant of its Abarth 500C in the UK that comes equipped with a five speed manual transmission. Priced at 16,856 GBP / $27,100 OTR (1,000 GBP / $1600 cheaper than the automatic version), this new version of Abarth 500C is also equipped with a 1.4 16v Turbo T-jet engine that outputs a total power of 135bhp. Meanwhile, top speed is rated at 128mph with 0-62mph in just 7.9 seconds. [Autoevolution]
A new U.S. market compact sedan to be developed by Fiat and built by Chrysler is set to make its debut appearance at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in the beginning of next year, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal. [ CarScoop ]
There is absolutely no surety whether Fiat will ever go ahead with the production of Lancia Coupe but some mysterious images found on the official site are now hinting at a different probability. Indeed, there wasn’t a single image but a number of images showcasing different designs of the Lancia vehicles. Some familiar designs included the Fulvia and GT Stilnovo, while a couple of designs were seen for the first time. The Ypsilon which is slated for a replacement was also included in the mysterious set of images. It seems that Fiat is in the mood to surprise us in the near future.
Fiat has officially introduced the new generation of its Uno supermini in South America. The Italian automaker released a barrage of photos and initial specs on the spiritual successor of the original Uno that will first go on sale in Brazil this month, with other South American countries to follow suit in the second half of the year.
The annual Salon Privé, a luxury supercar event and Concours d'Elégance that takes place this year in London from 21-23 July, will be hosting the UK debut of the all-electric Atomik 500.
