An E-class dressed for an evening out on the town, the gorgeous CLS gets redesigned for 2012. New for this year, this generation follows the formula of the first: Its underpinnings are shared with the E, but the shape is all CLS. A lineup of new, turbocharged engines makes driving this Benz just as exciting as looking at it.
The 2012 Toyota Camry made its global debut in California Tuesday, followed shortly after by an earthquake on the US east coast.
The i3 will tip the scales at 2,755 pounds, while the i8 will come in under 3,300 pounds. Shelby SuperCars is proud to introduce its latest contribution to automobile enthusiasts worldwide, the Tuatara. The name “Tuatara” was inspired by a modern day New Zealand reptile that bears the same name. A direct descendent of the dinosaur, this reptile’s name translated from the Maori language means “peaks on the back,” which is quite fitting, given the winglets on the back of the new car. In recognition of the 39 years of the Civic, Honda has produced a video entitled ‘Heritage’ which gives us a glimpse at the history of the Civic. “The video incorporates vintage commercial footage of the 1978 Honda Civic to present-day models”. Watch the video after the jump.
Renault has unveiled a new hatchback to its range with the introduction of the Clio Gordini. Available in both three door and five door models, this compact car comes in two different engine options including a 1.6-liter 16V 128 hp petrol unit and a 1.5-liter dCi 105 hp diesel unit. Prices will start at 18,450 GBP / $29,755 (three door petrol version) or 19,050 GBP / $30,722 (five door petrol version), or 20,750 GBP / $33,464 (three door diesel version) or 21,350 / $34,432 (five door diesel version). The Clio Gordini will be marketed in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia.
Porsche has issued the first teaser video of the upcoming 2012 Porsche 911. The video was filmed in South Africa as Porsche’s engineers were testing the 911 in hot weather. The 2012 version of the 911 features a choice between two transmissions such as a 7-speed manual gearbox and a PDK double-clutch transmission. Additional specs include an electronic parking brake, 19 inch and 20 inch wheels, as well as a Launch Control function. Check It out the video.
The Technical University of Munich will introduce the MUTE car concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2011. This electric vehicle uses a 22 PS (16.5 kW / 22 hp) electric motor, which is powered by a 10 kWh lithium-ion battery. This electric motor also distributes power to the rear wheels via a torque vectoring differential. This engine configuration allows the MUTE to accelerate from 0-60km/h (37mph) in 6.8 seconds with a top speed of 120km/h (75mph). Stay tuned for more updates.

LUMMA Design has unveiled their latest styling and performance packages for the BMW X6. Outside, the car gets a new aerodynamic kit consisting of a front spoiler bumper with rather enlarged air inlets, side skirts, double lamps in LED technology, LED day running lights, headlight ‘eye brows’, mirror hatches, a rear spoiler lip and a sportive look engine bonnet, made in carbon. The tuned X6 also stands on LUMMA Racing CLR 22 in 10j x 22″ and 12J x 22″ fitted with tires in 295/30 R22 in front and 335/25 R22 at the rear. Underneath, the 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged petrol engine has also been upgraded to produce 340PS and 670NM of torque. Pricing info is still unknown at the moment. [ AR ]
Toyota today announced the new 2012 Toyota Hilux facelift, which will be made available in Europe, Australia and a few countries from other parts of the world. The HiLux range includes three different engines: a 116kW/240Nm 2.7-liter four-cylinder petrol, a 126kW/343Nm 3.0-liter four-cylinder diesel and the benchmark 175kW/376Nm 4.0-liter V6 petrol. It is expected that all new HiLux models will be equipped with electronic stability control (ESC) as standard. No word on pricing and availability at this moment. [Zercustoms]
The all new 2012 Toyota Yaris has just been priced in the UK. To be released in mid-September, this new hatchback will be available in three different trims levels including T2, TR, SR and T Spirit, and will come in three different engine options: a 1.0-liter VVT-i petrol, a 1.33-liter Dual VVT-i petrol and a 1.4-liter D-4D turbodiesel. Prices will range from 11,170 GBP (about $17,989) for the entry-level T2 3dr 1.0 VVT-i 5MT model and goes up to 15,385 GBP (about $24,777) for the top of the line T Spirit 5dr 1.33 Dual VVT-i MDS model.
